Murder arrest over Primrose Hill stabbing

A 27-year-old man has been taken into custody on murder charges after Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student, was fatally stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred following a reported altercation, with officers arriving at the scene shortly after 18:30 BST on Tuesday. Sullivan was found with severe injuries and later pronounced dead at the location.

During the investigation, a second individual in his 20s was discovered with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. His condition was assessed as non-life-threatening, and he was hospitalized for treatment. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 25-year-old man was also detained for allegedly aiding the perpetrator.

Updates on the case

Both suspects were detained on Friday and are currently being held in police custody. Detective Inspector Andy Griffin stated:

“My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family, who are receiving ongoing support from specialist officers during this incredibly challenging period.” He added, “Although we have made two arrests, my team continues to work tirelessly to identify all those connected to the incident.”

Griffin also expressed gratitude to members of the public who have already provided information and urged anyone with additional details or footage from the area on the day of the attack to come forward. “Residents can anticipate heightened police activity in Primrose Hill and surrounding neighborhoods as local officers intensify their patrols,” he concluded.
