A 13-year-old boy, Noah Campbell, lost his life in a tragic collision involving a car, bicycle, and scooter in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, at 11:50 PM BST on Friday. Two other teenagers sustained critical injuries and were hospitalized. Charges and Court Appearance
Jamie Fountain, from Fir Tree Close, Flitwick, faces multiple charges, including causing death by careless driving and causing death by careless driving while over the legal limit for alcohol and drugs. He is also accused of two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving, as well as failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Ellie Ireland, of Wingate Drive, Ampthill, has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Both have been remanded in custody for a hearing at Luton Magistrates’ Court.
Preliminary reports from the police confirm that one of the injured teenagers remains in serious condition, while the other has been discharged after treatment for severe injuries. The family’s emotional tribute came on Sunday, as authorities revealed the identities of those charged in the collision. The case continues to unfold as the legal process progresses.
