Virgin Atlantic has launched a redesigned Clubhouse at London Heathrow, incorporating a cinema, VIP lounge, and spa. This transformation marks the initial phase of a broader refurbishment effort aimed at elevating passenger comfort and experience.

Upper Class customers now enjoy enhanced amenities and personalized services within the ground-level area. The lounge has been expanded to accommodate more guests, with designated zones for business travelers, groups, and couples.

New Features in the Clubhouse

The London hub introduces a Royal Box area, designed to offer an exclusive VIP experience reminiscent of a theatrical setting. This invite-only space provides a secluded retreat with unobstructed runway views.

Inside, the private zone includes velvet-covered sofas in the airline’s iconic red hue and a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ centerpiece—featuring a bespoke table with decadent sweets and champagne selections. The design draws from Vivienne Westwood’s uniforms and London’s transport heritage, blending brass accents with the signature red theme.

Wellness Experiences

Two dedicated Work Pod studios have been added, complete with built-in power outlets, modern desk setups, and illuminated ‘on air’ indicators when in use. Decorative elements like framed vinyl records add a touch of Virgin Records’ aesthetic.

The Gallery, the most frequented space in the Clubhouse, has been reconfigured to optimize layout and elevate its sweeping runway vistas. Integrated power and discreet baggage storage ensure functionality without compromising the sleek ambiance.

For those seeking relaxation, the Clubhouse now hosts two pop-up wellness experiences. Guests can enjoy a complimentary session in one of three Somadomes—immersive wellness domes designed for focus and rejuvenation. These sessions are available until 31 May.

Meanwhile, Secret Spa offers treatments such as express massages, glow-boosting facials, and manicures at the Clubhouse. These services run until 30 April, with additional options like OSKIA skincare and K-beauty brands introduced for the new Seoul route.

Entertainment & Innovation

The Cinema has been reimagined as an intimate, immersive space inspired by London’s members’ clubs and Soho’s private screening rooms. Enhanced sound quality through acoustic wall panels, royal blue armchairs, and red sofas create a refined atmosphere. Integrated charging points and Bluetooth headphones further elevate the experience.
